Why style matters
Or: Why some photography projects go horribly wrong
Have you ever browsed through a videographer's portfolio or a photographer's book and thought: "This is completely wrong.  Next!"?  When you include a photographer or videographer on your project, the closer their vision is to yours the better the finished product will be.  And their vision will be closer to yours because their style is closer to what you want for your project.

I photograph real people and real products with raw elegance — the kind of portraits that feel like a quiet conversation. My work leans into natural textures, soulful light, and the subtle confidence of being seen just as you are. Think bare skin, denim, eye contact, and the beauty that lives in the in-between.
This is portraiture for the artful, the nostalgic, the intentionally unpolished. For those who’d rather be timeless than trendy.
My style is emotive, intentional, stylish, a bit raw and real.  If you look for it, there’s definitely innovative, counterculture energy in the best possible way — especially if you’re leaning into artistic portraits, natural textures, and a touch of nostalgic or alternative flair.  It values authenticity over absolute perfection, letting people be people.  This is fashion that tells a story.  My photography highlights personal style in a way that communicates a narrative — like the subject’s clothes and pose tell us about who they are. Here you'll find intentional imperfection that helps the viewer feel comfortable: denim, vintage textures, bare skin with confidence, layered identity. I push toward curated individuality that values meaning over gloss.
In this way, my photography for your brand is emotionally rich, a little raw, undeniably stylish. It’s counterculture in a way where it’s no longer about trying to be cool, but just about being real and beautiful in a thoughtful way.  If that's what you want for your project, please contact me.
